Heavy Monsoon Rains Lash Telangana, Siddipet Records State's Highest Rainfall

<p>Heavy rains swept across large parts of Telangana over the past 24 hours as renewed active monsoon conditions intensified across the state.</p>
<p>According to rainfall data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TDPS), Siddipet district recorded the highest downpours in the state. Kondapak mandal led all stations with 145.3 mm of rain, followed by Thipparam in Kukunoorpally at 114.8 mm, Nangnoor at 109.3 mm, and Husnabad at 101.5 mm, all within Siddipet. Chegunta in neighbouring Medak district recorded 108.0 mm, rounding out the top five across the state.</p>
<p>Neighbouring districts of Medak, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, and Karimnagar also experienced significant heavy rainfall during the period.</p>
<p>In Hyderabad and its surrounding zones, Secunderabad, Bowenpally, and Alwal received heavy rain, leading to waterlogging in several low-lying areas. Within the GHMC region, the Begumpet IMD Office in Balanagar recorded the highest rainfall at 95.5 mm, closely followed by the Gymkhana ESS station in Tirumalagiri at 95.0 mm. The Bowenpally Ward Office recorded 87.0 mm, Picket Government Primary School in Maredpally logged 72.5 mm, and the Community Hall at Telecom Colony in Alwal received 70.8 mm.</p>
