Gurugram Car Accused Denies Deliberately Targeting Woman Biker, Says Check CCTV

<p>Kalyan Bainsla, the man accused of chasing and hitting a woman biker with his car on Gurugram's Golf Course Road, has denied that the collision was deliberate, saying two bikers had been repeatedly cutting in front of his vehicle and slowing down before the impact.</p>
<p>In an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Bainsla said the incident took place on a Sunday morning while he was travelling with his cousin. He claimed the two bikers overtook him from the side, moved ahead and then repeatedly slowed down in front of him. "I did not hit them intentionally," he said, adding that he was sorry the woman was injured.</p>
<p>The incident came to public attention after helmet camera footage recorded by the bikers went viral on social media. The woman biker has alleged that the occupants of the car followed her and that the driver was driving aggressively before the vehicle hit her motorcycle.</p>
<p>Bainsla pushed back on those claims, saying the viral videos did not show the full picture. "They were repeatedly coming in front of me and then slowing down the bike," he said. "Am I going around hitting everyone? You can check the CCTV," he added. He also claimed the bikers turned without checking the car's mirror and lost control, leading to the collision. "Let's assume that the collision happened accidentally. I accept that a mistake happened," he said.</p>
<p>Bainsla said he had been asking the bikers to ride more carefully rather than trying to run them off the road. "I was also saying in the video that you are riding well, but ride slowly. Don't keep troubling me repeatedly," he said, insisting that the complete footage should be reviewed.</p>
<p>On the woman's injury, Bainsla expressed regret while claiming he had not known a woman was riding the motorcycle. "I am sorry that a mistake happened. I did not know that there was a girl on it," he said.</p>
<p>His account differs sharply from the woman's version. She alleged the car had been following her and driving aggressively before swerving into her motorcycle. A fellow biker's helmet camera also captured footage of the chase after the collision, showing the rider briefly confronting Bainsla when the car stopped at a traffic signal before the vehicle drove away.</p>
<p>Bainsla also stressed he had no prior criminal record. "There has never been a case against me in my name," he said, adding that if the allegations began to affect his family, he would speak out more firmly.</p>
<p>The viral footage prompted Haryana Police to take suo motu cognisance of the incident and register an FIR against an unidentified person. The injured woman biker has also said she will file a separate FIR through her lawyer and pursue legal action.</p>
