Telangana Voter List Draft Out: Check If Your Name Is in the ASDD List

<p>Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C Sudharshan Reddy on Monday released the draft electoral roll under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR), giving voters a window to check their status and correct errors before the final list is published on October 19.</p>

<p>According to data shared by the CEO's office, around two crore enumeration forms have been received so far, accounting for 78.30 per cent of the state's total population.</p>

<p>A significant portion of voters have been flagged under the Absent Shifted Passed Away and Duplicate (ASDD) category. The total number of voters under this category stands at 73,39,235. Of these, 57,46,803 have been marked as permanently shifted, absent or under other categories, while 6,70,203 have been found enrolled at multiple places in the electoral roll.</p>

<p>Booth Level Officers (BLOs) conduct door-to-door surveys to identify voters who fall under the ASDD category. A voter is marked Absentee if they were unavailable at the time of the survey, Shifted if their address has changed, Passed Away if they are no longer living, and Duplicate if the same EPIC number or personal details appear across two different booths or constituencies.</p>

<p>Voters who find their name under the ASDD list are required to submit Form 6, the official application issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for new voter registration and for re-adding eligible voters to the roll. Form 6 must be submitted along with an age and identity declaration.</p>

<p>Voters can fill Form 6 either online through the official ECI portal or by visiting their local Booth Level Officer. The form requires the voter's full name, gender, date of birth and a passport-sized photograph. Voters must also provide details of one relative, either a father, mother, spouse or guardian, along with their EPIC number, complete residential address and supporting documents. A declaration form must be submitted alongside the documents.</p>

<p>Voters whose names already appear in the draft list but contain incorrect details can use Form 8 to request corrections, available both online and offline.</p>
